We are a UK-based agency representing a hand-picked roster of artists internationally. We believe in excellence and empower singers to find their voice in the world.
Through trusted relationships with leading directors, coaches and repetiteurs, we cultivate sustained careers openly and honestly.
We champion diverse communities where likeminded creatives thrive and are proud members of the Opera Managers Association International and International Artist Managers’ Association.
With an early career background in radio and television, Steve Phillips trained as a tenor at RSAMD (now Royal Conservatoire of Scotland) and sang for Scottish Opera, Garsington Opera and Raymond Gubbay at the Royal Albert Hall before moving into Chorus and Company management roles at The Grange Festival, Opera North and Welsh National Opera.
At Opera North, Steve managed the chorus for Aldeburgh Festival’s Grimes on the Beach and cast Into the Woods from the ensemble, a 2016 co-production with Leeds Playhouse. For three years he produced Whistle Stop Opera, touring the North of England and live-streamed as part of BBC‘s #OperaPassion day. He also launched the Opera North/RNCM Chorus Mentor Scheme, relaunched the Leeds Lieder Young Artists and managed the Kiss Me, Kate tour to the Ravenna Festival.
Alongside his Artist Management company, Steve runs Oxenfoord International Summer School with Artistic Director Malcolm Martineau, and fixes the chorus for Opera Rara‘s recordings and concert performances at the Barbican, Queen Elizabeth Hall and Cadogan Hall. He is Associate Director of the Trentino Music Festival, a Young Artist Programme held in Italy each summer, and Communications Director of OMAI (Opera Managers Association International).
