“John Brooke is played by Harry Thatcher. A capable baritone who brings a child-like eagerness to his character in his affections and subsequent marriage to Meg.”

“Harry Thatcher, as Laurie’s tutor, generates a fine wave of romantic tone to woo Meg.”

“Harry Thatcher was everything you might want from such a hero, tall and distinguished looking he too moved from posturing to something more, all sung with a fine, focused, dark baritone.”

“A special mention too for the engaging, open-voiced Fiorello of Harry Thatcher, one of the year’s Glyndebourne’s Jerwood Young Artists.”
